Ebb&Flow - Reformer Pilates & Yoga in Petersfield

Owen Hutchinson

Pilates, Reformer, Yoga, Meditation, Studio Owner

Owen is the owner of Ebb & Flow and lives and breathes yoga, Pilates & meditation. With 21 years of teaching experience his journey started in his birth country Australia and has evolved from the biomechanics of Pilates & yoga to a deeper spiritual & energetical practice and teachings.

Finding balance in movement, meditation & breath to self-heal is his absolute passion and this is delivered with exuberance in his classes. His ability to explain, adjust and help students understand their bodies during class is his speciality and his students see amazing results.

Owen explains his teaching as “a biomechanical science blended with ancient tradition & breath, blended with energetical practices that re-trains the mind, nourishes the body, draws in the spirit and activates the nervous system to self heal, gain functional, pain-free movement and radiate your inner light”. He concentrates on building a strong foundation of neuro-muscular connection and core strength where he guides you to improve your posture and structural awareness through personalised cues, encouragement and above all; fun!

“I want your mind & body to work for you, not against you to overcome aches, pains, mental blocks & injuries and avoid pills, injections and surgery. Our bodies can heal when we learn how to move, when we learn how to breathe, when we learn how to quieten and focus the mind and activate the nervous system. The potential to self-heal is exponential!”

CLAUDIA MARCIANO

I work within the fitness and creative industries as a Movement Practitioner, Coach, Director, and Performer. I’m Level 3 certified with Stott Pilates® and have also trained in Assisted Stretch Therapy, Interval Running, Cycling, and Barre.

My focus is always on working towards a centred and supple body, with a particular interest in injury rehabilitation, biomechanics, and conditioning for actors and dancers. I’m also available for 1:1 private coaching sessions in the studio, online, or at home upon request.

In my classes, you can expect to expand your movement vocabulary and deepen your understanding of true core strength.

ELLA MACEY

My yoga and pilates journey began with hot yoga, squeezed in around the demands of a busy corporate job. What started as a way to manage stress and stay active soon became a grounding practice; bringing clarity, calm, and strength into my life. Over time, my curiosity deepened, along with a desire to help make movement more welcoming and accessible to all abilities, which led me to complete my yoga teacher training at Yogahaven in London.

I later completed my Reformer training with Owen at Ebb and Flow and instantly fell in love with teaching Pilates too. Since then, I haven’t looked back.

I love combining the mindfulness and breathwork of yoga with the strength, control, and confidence-building elements of Reformer Pilates. My aim is to create classes that help people feel stronger, move better, build confidence, and enjoy the process along the way; all within a supportive and uplifting environment.

PHEOBE BARROW

I’m a Pilates and Reformer instructor with a background in ballet, which continues to influence my approach to Pilates. I trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) and completed my Reformer training with Owen at Ebb and Flow.

My teaching focuses on body awareness, healthy movement, and longevity, helping clients move with greater precision and confidence. I’ve also completed additional training in areas including Pilates for runners, hypermobility and stretching, personal training, and more.

I aim to make my classes both mindful and fun, creating a supportive environment where clients can feel good, move well, and stay engaged.

SHANNON HYDES

As a yoga teacher, I’m passionate about mindful movement and helping people build a deeper connection with their bodies. My teaching style combines strength, challenge, and awareness, encouraging clients to move with intention while also listening to what their body needs.

I love bringing the principles of yoga into reformer classes — creating sessions that feel both energising and grounding. Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve mobility, or simply take time for yourself, my classes are designed to help you feel more connected, balanced, and empowered in your movement.

Clients can expect supportive, flowing classes that challenge the body in a mindful way, with a strong focus on body awareness, control, and self-care.

MARK HILL

Yoga, to me, is a deeply empowering and nurturing practice that invites us into greater connection with ourselves through movement, breath, stillness, and self-inquiry. Through consistent practice, we learn to listen more closely to our bodies, quiet the mind, and show up for ourselves with integrity and kindness.

My own yoga journey began as a way to support injury recovery, before evolving into something far more profound. The integration of yoga alongside strength training became a powerful partnership for both my physical well-being and mental clarity, eventually leading me to complete my 200-hour teacher training at the studio in June 2025.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of teaching over 200 hours across group classes, one-to-one sessions, and community settings. My foundation lies in Hatha yoga, with a growing love for the fluidity and creative expression of Vinyasa.

I strive to offer inclusive, grounding, and judgement-free classes where students feel safe to explore their breath, body, and inner landscape at their own pace. My role is simply to support you in meeting yourself with curiosity, compassion, and presence.
